Breast Reconstruction

Breast reconstruction is a surgical procedure that rebuilds the shape and appearance of the breast, most often after a mastectomy performed for breast cancer treatment. It can be done using an implant, the patient's own tissue (autologous reconstruction), or a combination of both. Reconstruction may be carried out at the same time as the mastectomy or planned as a separate procedure later, depending on the patient's overall treatment plan and preference.
